My name is Melissa Fagerness and I teach 7th grade ELA (Reading and Writing) and History. This is my 22nd year at Centralia Middle School and I still love teaching here. I was born and raised in Centralia and attended this middle school. I look forward to meeting new students and always welcome communications and questions. On a personal note, I am married to my husband Tom, and we have one son, Tyler, who is currently at Centralia High School. I enjoy reading, camping, animals, and I am a big sports fan.
Brooklyn Lowe - 8th grade ELA & Honors
I teach 8th grade English Language Arts, as well as electives when needed. My husband and I moved here in 2006 and we love our Centralia community and have 3 children in CSD schools. I have taught Social Studies at CMS, ELA at Napavine Middle School, and now ELA at CMS. I enjoy working with students during their ‘difficult’ middle school years and connecting them to great literature, as well as empowering them with their writing skills.
