Hello CMS Students, Families, and Staff

We hope your summer was filled with rest, fun, and memorable moments. As we open our doors for another exciting year, our entire team is energized and ready to support our 7th and 8th graders through two of the most transformative years of their academic journey.

Meet Our Leadership Team
We are thrilled to officially introduce our leadership for the upcoming year!
Many of you already know Allison Hillstrom, who stepped in as our Interim Principal from January through June of last school year. She is excited for her new official role as the middle school principal. Joined by Scott Gagnon, who has been a dedicated part of the administrative team for the past two years, our administration team is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-achieving environment where every student can thrive.

Our Theme for 2026–2027: Be Brave - Bridge the Gap
As a 7th and 8th-grade campus, our time with each student is brief—just two short years. Yet, these two years are complex and pivotal. Middle school is the bridge between the foundational years of elementary school and the independence of high school.
 
This year, our guiding theme is "Be Brave: Bridge the Gap."
Being Brave means encouraging our students to step out of their comfort zones—whether that means trying a new elective, raising a hand in class, making a new friend, or standing up for what is right.
Bridging the Gap means taking intentional steps every day to build the academic habits, emotional resilience, and social skills necessary for high school success and beyond.
Together—staff, families, and students—we will navigate this bridge with courage, curiosity, and confidence.
 
Let's Make It a Great Year!
Our Open House information is linked below in Spanish and English and will be held on Wednesday, August 26th from 5:00-7:30 pm.
 
Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 1st, 2026.
