I am Hector, and I am the new science teacher for the 8th Grade.

I was born, raised, and became a Chemical Engineer on the Island of Puerto Rico. I was always a teacher at heart, although on the way, for twenty-five years, I was also an engineer, scientist, entrepreneur, project manager, water treatment specialist, Environmental Project Manager, and now Science Teacher.
What best defines me is being a dedicated father and husband to my wife. I relocated to Washington back in 2013 and really like the Pacific Northwest's environment. I am really excited to be on this next part of the journey.
My intent is to instill in the next generation a curiosity about learning how things work. After all, if you don't understand how things work, any advanced technology will seem like magic to you.
