Jillian Cryder - Math 8, Algebra and Math Intervention

Welcome to Math with Ms. Cryder!

Hello! I’m Jillian Cryder, and I am so excited to kick off my sixth year of teaching!

Math is a powerful tool for problem-solving, and my goal is to create a classroom environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and confident in their abilities—whether we are tackling 8th-grade math concepts or diving into Algebra.

Education and Background

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Washington State University, along with an endorsement in Middle Level Mathematics. I’m currently working toward my Master’s degree in Mathematics Education for the Secondary Level.

My Teaching Philosophy I believe that every student is capable of succeeding in math with the right mindset, encouragement, and strategies. Middle school is a pivotal time for building mathematical confidence, and I focus on helping students understand the "why" behind the numbers, not just the steps to get an answer.
