Overview
Centralia Middle School counselors are here to support students and their families. Students are enrolled in a Google Classroom where counselors will share school and community information.
Students can request a visit with their counselor by:
- Filling out an online request in the Counselor Google Classroom.
- Filling out a paper request at the front office window.
- Emailing their counselor.
- Asking a staff member or teacher to send the counselor a message.
Except in the case of emergencies or crises, students will wait to be called out of class to talk to their counselor.

My name is Drew, known to students as Mr. K. I have been an educator for 21 years, although this year is my first as a counselor. I come to Centralia from the eastern side of Washington State where I have spent the majority of my life. My wife is a school counselor in Shelton, and I have two adult children, Kevin and Joseph, along with two four-legged children (Max and Charlie) that occupy way more of my time than they should. I am excited to be here in Centralia and hope that I can make an instant and positive impact on the kids of this community.

Hello!
I’m thrilled to be starting my fourth year as a school counselor here at Centralia Middle School. Over the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students in the Oakville School District, where I’ve gained valuable experience supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. I’m excited to bring that knowledge to help our middle schoolers at Centralia succeed and thrive in the coming years. My goal is to be a resource and support for all students, helping them navigate challenges and celebrate their achievements. Let’s make this a great year together!
