Spirit Week & Dance
Students are exhibiting continued safe behaviors, so students, ASB, & Admin have scheduled Spirit Week and our first dance of the year!
Students need to follow the school dress code for all dress up days.
MONDAY: PJ Day. Roll out of bed and come to school in PJs & messy hair. 
TUESDAY: Student and Teacher Swap. Students dress like a school staff member. Staff dress as students!
WEDNESDAY: PINK! We wear pink on Wednesday! Wear all the pink you've got!
THURSDAY: Mathletes & Athletes! Dress in your favorite sports gear or stereotypical serious scholar.  
FRIDAY: Hollywood. Dress as your favorite celebrity, character, or in your fanciest outfit to walk the red carpet. 
DANCE -  2:45 - 4:30; Halloween Dance: Dress in your Halloween Costume, come as you are, or wear your "Hollywood" costume. There will be Music, Dancing, Games, & Fun Hanging out with friends!
Dance is $3 with ASB & $5 without ASB
Bring money to buy food & drinks!
 
 
CMS Family Night - Sponsored by PoMSS
Thursday November 9th  6pm - 8pm
Games: Card Games, Trivia, Pictionary, Cornhole, Yardztee, 3 on 3 Basketball, and Parents vs. Student DODGEBALL for the TROPHY!!!
There will be a family/parent/teacher vs. student dodgeball game! From 7:30 - 8pm! Who will win the first annual Parent vs. Student Dodgeball trophy!?!
There will be pizza, salad, & drinks from 6:45 - 7:15
Students attend with their family, families may bring additional CMS students and family with them. ALL Students have to attend with a CMS family to participate in the evening. Order forms will be sent home to pre-order pizza & drinks! Food will be provided. Donations accepted.

NEXT MEETING: POMSS (Parents of Middle School Students) Next Meeting - Tuesday November 7th at 6pm! All parents/guardians/families/teachers welcome to join to help partner and plan fun activities for our Yellow Jacket community! We meet at the first Tuesday of each month at 6pm in CMS Commons. Enter through the side door by bus drop off. 
 
Please join us to plan for: Update on school happenings, concession sales, and November 9th Family Night! We need a team to make opportunities happen!

Our goal is for students to be kind to one another
Continue to talk with your child about family expectations regarding behavior at school and in public spaces:
Students gave lots of updates and concerns about their peers and unsafe behaviors this past week
Please monitor social media - fights and supporting of fights are occurring on various social media chats and comments; also bullying is occurring on social media

TRiO 

TRiO is an amazing free opportunity for our 7th and 8th grade students to identify their career interests and college needs. CMS partners with a Program Specialist from Centralia College (CC) who mentors our middle school students enrolled in the program. Our students have opportunities for career/college activities and field trips! Eligible students may continue through high school and have assistance with applying/paying for college fees, assistance with FAFSA, scholarships and continued activities and college visits!

VETERAN'S DAY - No School Friday November 10th in honor of Veteran's Day

Veteran's Day Assembly - CMS will honor our Veteran's at an Assembly! We would like to invite all CMS family & community Veteran's to attend the assembly and a reception following the assembly. Please watch for a special invite! Invite will be posted through Email, on Facebook, and Instagram.
